Reading Partners Winter Newsletter 2013
Reading Partners Winter 2013 Marlyn's Message Greetings! Hello Reading Partners and program partners. I am Marlyn Agatstein, the new Director of Reading Partners. I came on board in September after Tricia Hoff left to return to teaching at Bi-Cultural Day School. We wish her the very best! In addition to being director, this will be my 6th year as a tutor at Stillmeadow School where both my children attended elementary school. I have a B.S. from Boston University and when I first moved to Stamford 25 years ago, I was an R.N. I also have an M.P.A. from New York University which is put to good use as I advocate for Reading Partners in our community. Reading Partners Out and About * Read Aloud Day- 6 RPs travelled to Bridgeport to read with school children in this, the 28th annual event. * Hart and Stillmeadow Schools invited their RPs to attend award ceremonies for the Fairfield County Academic Gain Award, given by the Lone Pine Foundation. Hart School came in first; Stillmeadow was second.
