For A Woman “Hitler was our matchmaker” many survivors couples said, because it was the war that brought them together. For a Woman (Pour une Femme) takes place a couple of years after Liberation and is a fascinating look into the war's aftermath. Two survivors of a concentration camp in France are trying to establish a new life for themselves and their young daughter when the husband’s brother appears. He’s on a secret mission, one of the consequences of which is a radical change in the family’s dynamic.
