The proposed development will consist of 140 rental apadments in five buildings (65 one-bedroom, 60 two-bedroom, and fifteen tln'ee-bedroom). Of the 140 units, 35 will be made available to moderate-income residents. 'l-he total proj r:ct area will oomprise 7.67 acres, and will have a densily of 18.24 units per acre. ihe totai project area includes 1.17 acres of wetlands. A community buildlng with a pool is proposed, along with 261 parking spaces (32 enclosed spaces,229 surface spaces). The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing)
The site approval process is offered to project sponsors who intend to apply for a comprehensive permit under Chapter 40B. MassFlousing's review involves an evaluation of the site, the design concept, the financial feasibility of the proposal, and the appropriateness of the proposal in relation to local housing needs and strategies. As part of our review, we are soliciting comments from the local community and would appreciate your input. You also may wish to include in 'l'e your response issues or ooncerns raised by other town boards, olficials or other interested parties. Pursuarl to the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 408 regulations (760 CMR 56.00; your conlments may include information regarding municipal actions previously taken to meet affordabie housing needs such as incLusionary zoning, multifamily districts adopted under G.L. c.40A and overiay districts adopted urder M.G.L. c.40R. Your comments will be considered as part of orr review.

grants to municipalities for up to $10,000 to engago qualified third-parfy consultants to work with the Ashland ZBA in reviewing the Chapter 408 proposal.
