Refugee Ministries – The Afghan refugee family we are co-sponsoring through the Lutheran Social Services arrived on Friday, March 3, greeted by about 15 wellwishers from St. Francis. It was an amazing event of hugs and kisses, flowers and welcome signs. Mohammad Barbari and his 4 daughters, Soghra, Fatema, Marzieh, and Razieh are now settled into their Tucson apartment and couldn’t say “Thank you” enough for the generous support they received, which took them completely by surprise! Please see the photos in the Parish Hall. The Barbaris now face the difficult, but hopefully joyful, task of learning more English and becoming part of our community. We learned the daughters like to sew. Does anyone have a serviceable sewing machine they would like to donate to the family? If so, please let Pam Hyde
