INTEREXCHANGE AU PAIR USA

Refund Policy Withdrawal Requests. Provided that the Host Family obligations under this Agreement are met, the Host Family may withdraw from the Program by submitting two weeks’ prior written notice to InterExchange by a written withdrawal request to [email protected]. Receipt of requests to withdraw will be acknowledged in writing by InterExchange. The Refund Policy will apply two weeks after the later of receipt of the written notice by InterExchange or the departure of the au pair. Refund Calculations. InterExchange hopes that all qualified host families seek to rematch rather than withdraw from the Program. However, if a refund is preferred over a Rematch, the Host Family acknowledges that InterExchange does not provide a full refund of the Effective Weekly Rate. InterExchange strives for client satisfaction and hopes for the best possible experience for both Host Families and Au Pairs. In an effort to maximize client satisfaction, InterExchange invests significant effort and expense in its Au Pair program and incurs significant expense for international travel and lodging accommodations prior to the Au Pairs arrival at the home. These costs are incurred by InterExchange regardless of the cause or the party at fault for the early termination and must be offset against the Program Fees. Refunds are calculated using the following method: Contract Weeks: The number of weeks of service on the Host Family’s relevant Program Term. Unused Weeks: The number of Contract Weeks unused by the Host Family due to the early departure of the Au Pair. Effective Weekly Rate: The actual cost per Contract Week calculated by dividing the Program Fee by the number of weeks in the Program Term. Example: The Smith Family paid $8,290 for a 52-week Term. Their Effective Weekly Rate is $159.42. Weekly Refund Rate: Withdrawing Host Families are eligible for a refund equal to 70% of the Effective Weekly Rate for each Unused Week. Example: The Smith Family paid $8,290 for a 52-week Term. Their Effective Weekly Rate is $159.42. Their Weekly Refund Rate is 70% of $159.42 or $111.59 per unused week. Orientation. The Au Pair’s Orientation and Training Week shall be considered one Used Week for the purposes of calculating a Refund. Refund Deductions. Any balances due to InterExchange by the Host Family and any unpaid Stipends due to an Au Pair will be deducted from the Refund by InterExchange. Method and Timing of Refunds. Refunds will be processed in the form of a check and will be issued 4-6 weeks from the date the written request for a Refund is received by InterExchange. Ineligible for Refunds or Credits. Host Families with less than 10 weeks remaining in their Program Term are not eligible for Refunds or Credits. In addition, Host Families that are removed from the Program for violations of the Program Rules, the Regulations or any other Program requirements or for subjecting the Au Pair to exploitative or unreasonable circumstances, as determined by InterExchange, are not eligible for Refunds.
