Regions of Texas Assignment Directions: You are going to complete the regions of Texas assignment. 1) Color your regions of Texas using map colors. The Coastal Plains: Green, The Great Plains: Yellow, The North Central Plains: Pink, The Mountains and Basins: Blue. Once you’ve done this, cut the map out of the directions. If you don’t know which region is where, use pages 25, 27, 28, and 29 to identify them. 2) Select a sheet of construction paper and fold it where it has three sections. Paste your colored Texas onto the sheet. Then use scissors and cut four slips into the front of the paper. 3) Put your compass rose on your paper in the bottom left corner. Put a map key at the bottom right corner. Then you will label the four different regions of Texas using a black permanent marker. 4) Next you will complete the following on the inside of your foldable: List all of the borders of the region. List at least 3 types of vegetation in the region. List 2 Human features of the region. List 2 interesting facts about the region.
