Step 1 – Prepare Parts & Tools Before getting started it is a good idea to read through these assembly instructions entirely and to collect the tools & hardware you need: 1. 2. 3.

A screw driver or, better yet, a drill driver.
Step 2 – Unpacking Top Canby’s solid hardwood tops are heavy. We recommend that you have the help of a friend when handling them. Carefully unpack your top and set it face down on a clean carpeted surface. So as not to scratch or dent the top face – please ensure the area in which you’re working is free from any debris.
Step 3 – Unpack & Position Table Legs Carefully unpack your Canby X table legs. So as not to ding or scratch them please use care when removing them from the box. IMPORTANT ‐ Avoid using a knife to remove the bubble wrap and other packaging materials as there’s a greater risk of scratching the parts.
IMPORTANT Insure that mounting tabs are facing toward inside
As shown, place the legs at each end of the table top. Line up the pilot holes in the top with the mounting holes in the legs. Insure that the mounting tabs at the center of each leg are facing inward.
Step 4 – Fasten Leg to Table Top With the holes lined up in Step 3, start a screw in each of the 8 holes at one end of the table. Do not fully tighten them yet.
Step 5 – Install Stretcher With one leg loosely attached and the other free standing at the far end of the table, position the stretcher over the mounting tabs on the legs. At the one leg already loosely attached to the top, install & tighten 2 of the 3/8” long allen screws. Repositioning things as necessary, repeat the same at the other end of the top, connecting the stretcher to the still free‐floating leg.
Step 6 – Install & Secure Legs With the stretcher installed, reposition the unattached leg to realign the mounting holes with the pilot holes. Install & tighten the remaining 8 the top –mounting screws. Return to the other leg and fully tighten all 8 of its top‐mounting screws.
Step 7 – Flipping the Table Upright
Fully assembled, Canby X tables are heavy. In order to avoid damage to the table or injury to yourself, you must have two people to flip the table over. With one of you at each end, start by tilting the table onto one of it’s long sides. Grasping both a leg and the edge of the table top, carefully lift the table fully off the ground, flip it upright, and place it gently on the floor… Enjoy!
