Step 1 — Repairing Oster 6344 Toaster Lever



Assure the toaster is unplugged.

Step 2



Look down into the bread slots and assure that the metal tongues are not bent or crooked.

If the metal tongues are bent use the pliers to straighten them.

Step 4



Plug your toaster back in and test it to see if the lever stays down.

(Optional): To clean the toaster, make sure it is unplugged, empty the crumb tray and then clean out all visible residue. 

Note: Compressed air, wooden skewers, and slightly damp, lint free cloths are most helpful when cleaning your toaster.



Be sure that the toaster is completely dry from cleaning before you reassemble it.
