Replacing Crosley CR704 Needle

INTRODUCTION A worn or damaged needle produces poor sound and destroys records. An average phonograph with a new needle spinning a clean record will produce concert quality sound with little distortion, producing a result very similar to the original. The NP1 is a diamond stylus needle. The diamond needle is good for about 1,000 hours of playtime. The cartridge is made of durable ABS plastic. The NP1 Stylus needle plays 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records.

Step 1 — Needle 

With steady hands, gently tug the needle from its cartridge pulling downwards.

 There will be a slight resistance.

Step 2 

Secure the new needle by gently snapping it upwards an inwards until it clicks into place.

 Be careful not to touch the stylus tip when handling the tone arm. This is what plays your records.

Test by playing a record. We suggest "Revolver" by the Beatles. This document was last generated on 2017-06-21 04:06:52 PM.
