RIVERSIDE MALL REFURBISHMENT

Redefine has been extremely active upgrading a number of its retail properties in the Western Cape and with their longstanding relationship and excellent track record Betts Townsend was the natural choice to be appointed as the project manager. Riverside Mall in Rondebosch was the next centre which has been earmarked for refurbishment and in March 2012 work commenced on a R16 million facelift for the centre to improve the facilities and enhance the general shopping experience for residents.

The mall’s convenient location makes it ideally positioned to become the destination of choice for local shoppers. A fresh new façade, floor tiles and lighting throughout was installed and all ceilings were redone. Wider escalators for ease of shopping were also installed to facilitate greater mobility in the centre. The public toilet areas have been refurbished, and now incorporate dedicated facilities for disabled shoppers and baby-changing facilities.
