Beach Street Herne Bay Kent

Highlights ─ Town Centre New Development ─ Surface car parking adjacent ─ New Aldi store opposite

Location Herne Bay occupies an enviable seaside location on the North Kent coast with a population of 38,563 people (2014). Herne Bay is 7 miles north of Canterbury and 5 miles east of the popular Whistable. Herne Bay railway station is on the mainline running between Ramsgate and London Victoria and St Pancras, the upgrade to become part of the north Kent javelin route means London is just 1 hour 18 minutes away. The development is located on the East side of Beach Street just off the Town’s main retail high street and is anchored by both an existing Morrison’s and a brand new Aldi foodstore together with public car parking, the Heron’s Leisure centre and Arthouse Cinema. Hence the development is in the heart of the Town but also has the convenience of drive to door parking.

Description Phase 1 of the development is already complete which comprises the new Aldi Foodstore and dedicated car park. Phase 2 will back onto the

existing High Street properties fronting into a new public car park opposite the Heron Leisure centre and cinema. The car parks will be accessed via either Beach Street or Hanover Street from the town’s major ring road and also provide a short walk through to the High Street and onwards to the Seafront.
