Coaching Plan Options Individual Coaching Plan One-on-one coaching with a building, Instructional Coach, Departmental Instructional Coach, or a literacy mentor.

What

CLEAR

Design and implement an action research project on a collaborative action research team, facilitated by Instructional Coaches and other trainers.

-Minimum of 3 full periods -Two week-long summer trainings which could look like... (2015 and then 2016). - classroom visit, meeting to discuss visit, meeting to discuss ideas or plan -Quarterly meetings with the whole CLEAR group. OR -Monthly building meetings with - 3 meetings surrounding planning or your collaborative research team. instructional strategies -Informal mentor work during 20162017 with new CLEAR participants. -Present group project findings during second summer.

Instructional Rounds Groups of 3-5 teachers, facilitated by an IC, visiting classrooms with the expectation of implementing observed strategies in a teacher’s own classroom. - ½ day classroom visits, data collection, and data analysis - 2-period meeting to discuss strategies based on what the group learned from classroom visits - implement strategies and observe classrooms - 2-period meeting to analyze data, make conclusions, and celebrate

Peer-to-Peer Coaching Plan 2 staff members planning together and observing each other implementing instructional strategies`

-Minimum of 6 meetings (3 focused on each partner) which could look like... - planning meeting, classroom visit, and follow-up - Instructional Coach or literacy mentor will attend at least 1 of the coaching meetings for each teacher
