On the shore of Rough River Lake in Leitchfield, KY, All Saints Center serves youth, adult retreats, family reunions, Episcopal (and other denominations!) functions. We will be housed in a stunning new Inn as well as in  cottages and dorms located in a classic lakeside setting.

CONFERENCE CENTER Using Henri Nouwen’s book, participants will examine how compassion is central to our Christian life. Attendees will participate in the development and creation of a six unit study series, suitable for use in Adult Christian formation or as a Lenten study series.

JOE GRANT A native of Scotland and former Catholic Missionary, Joe Grant has ministered in Europe, Latin America and the U.S. Joe received his Masters in Divinity from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He has lived and worked among indigenous people in ! the Brazilian Amazon and served as co-director of a spiritual center for Native Americans in Chicago. Joe is a writer, speaker and program developer for JustFaith Ministries. He is the creator of JusticeWalking (JWalking), a JustFaith process for high school and college campuses and the developer of Engaging Spirituality, a spiritual-deepening process for adults. Joe writes maintains “Still in the Storm” a spirituality blog for JustFaith. Joe has authored youth ministry publications on prayer, service scripture and justice for St Mary’s Press and offered many keynote presentations, workshops and retreats around the country. In 2004 he was recognized with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry award for Gospel Values of Peace and Justice. Joe lives in inner-city Louisville with his wife and three children. FRIDAY Reading the book in advance is

Gathering at All Saints late afternoon (earlier if you would like some quiet time or a walk in the woods)

highly recommended but not required. A few copies will be available for purchase at the retreat.

Supper 6 - 7 PM Building the Community 7 PM Joe Grant will explore with us our call to compassion ~ how Compassion is central to our Christian way of life.

Our vision is that the teams will return to

their congregation prepared to facilitate the six part study series that will be developed during our time together.
