RETURNING STAFF BIO What is your funniest habit? I will lie on the floor or ground literally anywhere. What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited? The Swiss Alps. I was only four but man oh man you do not forget those mountains! When I have an hour of free time, I like to... Play the ukulele! Or grab a friend and explore Goodwill or a used bookstore.
Cari Phillips How many years have you been at camp (camper, SALT, and staff years combined)? 9 years If you could put anything inside a S’more, what would it be? I feel like I would be judged if I put an avocado in one, so maybe a banana? (I do believe avocados can improve almost any snack though.) What is your favorite camp song? I Just Wanna Be a Sheep. So many good puns. What is your favorite spot in camp? The bouldering bungalow!
What are the top 3 things on your bucket list? When I graduate I want to go on the World Race! It’s an eleven month mission trip to eleven different countries. It’s also been a dream of mine to hike the entire Appalachian Trail (not super realistic but never say never). And I also really want to adopt internationally... but not anytime soon! If you could spend a day with a person from the Bible, who would it be and why?. Well, obviously Jesus but other than Him, maybe James? He had a ton of wisdom I’d love to hear about. I would definitely want to know about what it was like to grow up as Jesus’s younger sibling. Share in a FEW sentences what you are most excited about for summer 2016. rOcK CLiMbiNg! I am stoked to get to know campers in lots of villages and see tons of former campers! Oh we’re gonna have so much fun and learn so much. Goodness I can’t wait!
In a FEW sentences share your favorite camp memory? Staying up until 4am laughing with my best friends as a Cherokee. That was 5 years ago and we’re still best friends! What is your all time favorite book? The Catcher in the Rye -- besides the Bible of course.
