Ridgefield Freestyle Wrestling Club Open to local youth in grades K-8!! Our club will participate in the Clark County Youth Wrestling league. Join today!!
Clark County Youth Wrestling is a consortium of youth wrestling teams from around the area. The purpose of the league is to offer an introduction to wrestling competition, at a recreational level, for all Clark County residents. It is designed to be inclusive of all abilities. The program focuses on development of wrestling skills along with good sportsmanship, character development and strong work ethics. Our coaches are passionate about the sport and will share their enthusiasm with all wrestlers. Wrestlers of all levels are welcome to join. Who: When:
Boys & girls in grades K-8 / Wrestlers will work with kids their ability/size/age. Dec 13 – Feb 28, Mon & Wed (No practice on holidays) Grades K-3 attend 5:30-6:45 / Grades 4-8 attend 7-8:30 PM Where: Ridgefield High School Upper Gym Extras: Students will be offered 2-4 dual meets in Jan/Feb. One meet will be at RHS. Meets could be at any school in Clark County. Parents provide transportation. Jan 27, Jamboree @ Camas High School & Mar 2/3, Tournament @ Union High School Attire: Kids should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move – no jeans. Wrestling shoes are recommended, but not required. Coach: Alan Green, Head VR Wrestling Coach, Returning volunteers Mr. Stevens & Mr. Draper Parent Mtg: Mandatory parent meeting on Dec 13th @ 5:45 PM, RHS Commons Program guidelines, meet information, safety issues and more will be discussed. Cost: $70, includes shirt, meet fees and $5 mat maintenance fee. Pre-registration required!! Space is limited, register early. Online registration at ridge.revtrak.net is fast and easy! Registrations may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Community Education office at View Ridge.
