June 2016 QSR Traffic Mean Temp. vs. June ‘15

Weather Notes: • June 2016 was one of the warmest June’s on record for the U.S. • Rainfall was the least since 2012 Mean Precip. vs. June ‘15

• Father’s Day (Sunday, June 19th) was cooler than LY but warmer than normal in the U.S. Rainfall was the least in 55+ years • Kansas City trended warmest since 1990, St. Louis since 1991, and Pittsburgh since 2002. Little Rock, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and Tampa were all warmest in 5 years.

• July began warmest in three years with the strongest heat focused across the South. • The Pacific region had its coolest start to July since 2009 • July 4th was the warmest in 3 years. Precipitation was below last year, but above normal • Historic flooding occurred in parts of the Ohio & Tennessee Valley’s during week 1 where Dallas had its most precipitation in 55+ years, St. Louis since 1991, and Memphis since 2002

• August 2016 was warmest in the U.S. since 2011 • Rainfall was the most since 1977 in the U.S. • Louisiana had catastrophic flooding in week 3 Mean Precip. vs. Aug. ‘15

• The New England and Mid-Atlantic regions had their warmest August in 55+ years • The East North Central region was warmest since 1995 and the South Atlantic region since 2007 • The West South Central region had its most rainfall in 55+ years, conversely, the Pacific region was driest since 2006 with Seattle driest since 2012
