ROCKHARBOR Church CM Seasonal Childcare Coordinator About ROCKHARBOR ROCKHARBOR is a non-denominational, multi-campus church located in Orange County, CA. The Costa Mesa Campus was the first of the six ROCKHARBOR campuses with a strong 17-year history. Through weekend celebration services, Life Groups, local and global engagement, and church planting, our vision is to be a church of communities following Jesus as we worship, pray, and love others in Orange County and beyond. Our Families Team strongly believes that spiritual development can and should begin from the earliest age with parents as the primary nurturers of their children’s faith. With this in mind, our resources support both the church and home with a focus on knowing God personally, igniting a passion for Christ, learning to listen to his Spirit, keeping Biblical content true to context, and cultivating a concern for people’s needs in our communities and the world. ROCKHARBOR Costa Mesa has many events scheduled throughout the week that provide childcare and we are in need of someone to coordinate those events. About the position This position is a seasonal/temp part-time [15-20 hours/week based on need] position. Fall and Spring class schedules would include, but are not limited to the following: o Divorce Care - Monday evenings starting Sept 12th 13-15 weeks prep starts at 6pm o Women’s Bible study- Tuesday mornings starting Oct 4th – Dec 6th prep starts at 8:30am o Alpha- Tuesday evenings starting Tuesday Sept 27th – Nov 15th prep starts at 5:45pm o Nurture – Wednesday mornings starts Late Sept – Dec 9th prep starts between 7-7:30am class runs till 11:45 plus 45 minutes of tear down o Kingdom Culture – Wednesday evenings new class coming this fall o Christmas Leader’s gathering – onetime event in Dec The majority of the childcare for the classes listed above will need to be coordinated on the front end and will require minimal hours during the event to make sure that the rooms are set up and workers are in place. At this time the only ministry that will require presence during the entire length of the event is the Wednesday morning Nurture role. We would like this position to start asap. This position reports to our CM Families Pastor. Staff members are expected to adhere to rockharbor’s leadership guidelines [which can be provided upon request]. ROCKHARBOR Church CM Seasonal Childcare Coordinator Key responsibilities Assess CM Campus childcare needs and advise HR Manager of hiring and training needs Establish proper childcare ratios and schedule childcare workers for recurring CM events and campus-wide events Serve as point person for the childcare team during events to ensure consistency of values Utilize myRH to coordinate payments and childcare rosters for events Establish proper childcare ratios and schedule childcare workers for all events to include Nurture- Wednesday mornings. Serve as point person at Nurture on Wednesday mornings to ensure consistency of values and curriculum. Utilize myRH to coordinate and manage Nurture check-in events weekly. Collaborate and communicate with Nurture lead team with the needs and state of childcare and workers. Establish quarterly opportunities to develop community with childcare workers Qualifications Must love kiddos, ideally with some experience in that filed Team Player Intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ Strong computer skills Leadership, organizational and time management skills Strong communications and discretionary skills Willing to support policies and leadership of ROCKHARBOR
