Ron Moen Ron is a statistician, consultant, and teacher to industry, government, healthcare, and education. He is cofounder and partner of Associates in Process Improvement and adjunct lecturer in the Physics and Engineering Science Department at the University of MichiganFlint. He is a senior fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and on the faculty for IHI’s Improvement Advisor Professional Development Program. Moen worked with Dr. Deming in implementing the Deming principles at Pontiac Motor Division in the 1980’s and assisted at 70 of Dr. Deming’s Four Day Seminars. He has given over 80 presentations and technical papers throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Europe, Africa, and Asia over the last 40 years. He is co-author of three additions of Improving Quality through Planned Experimentation. He also is co-author of Quality Measurement: A Practical Guide for the ICU and the second edition of The Improvement Guide. He is a three-time recipient of the Craig Award, presented by the Automotive Division of ASQ for outstanding technical papers, and the 2002 recipient of the Deming Medal. He was member of Board of Trustees, The W. Edwards Deming Institute (1994-1997) and member of Advisory Council, The W. Edwards Deming Institute (1997-2014).
