Quilted All Over (May 11th) Free motion quilting is fun – if you know what to quilt! Learn some beautiful free motion designs that can be quilted with no marking necessary, all using your regular home sewing machine. Long arm not necessary! A BSR makes this technique a breeze. 9:30AM - 12:30PM Session 1: Spirals (3 hours) Spirals are one of the most organic designs loved by quilters everywhere. Learn about the anatomy of a spiral so that you can quilt them with no marking. Learn several different variations of a spiral that can be used in borders and all over quilting designs. 2:00PM - 5:00PM Session 2: Feathers (3 hours) Starting out with peacock feathers, we will progress from randomly filling a space to giving the peacock feathers some direction and finally putting them onto a spine. Simplify the peacock feather to one loop instead of 3, and you have beautiful, unmarked feathers for your quilting delight!

Fun Classes in Provo Easter Tablerunner
Thursday, March 17th at 1:30 pm Teacher: Marlene Cook Class Fee: $10 This is the perfect tablerunner to dress up your table for Easter. It has a darling Easter Bunny on each end with eggs all around the border. The bunnies and eggs are appliqued using the blanket stitch. Bring some bright fabrics for the eggs, and we will exchange pieces with other students. Pattern and supply list will be available.

Just dig into your scrap bag and find bright fabrics to make the flowers and outside border. This runner won’t cost very much to make if you have scraps. It’s adorable and fun to make! Pattern Alterations and Fittings
Tuesdays from 2-4 pm on dates below Teacher: Wendy Copus Class fee: $10 per class This series of classes will help you with selecting patterns that will look good for your figure type and choosing pattern sizes that will minimize the alterations that need to be made. Fitting and sewing techniques will also be an important part of these classes to help you learn how to produce a professional looking garment. You will choose your own pattern style of skirt, pants, and top. The schedule for class topics is below: February 1st Pattern, fabric, and size selection. February 8th Compare body measurements to pattern measurements to make alterations to Skirt pattern. Cut out skirts and be ready for fitting. February 15th Fit skirts, alter, zipper, and waistband. SewWhatEver in Provo
Come have fun at SewWhatEver! This club offers you a night out where you can get away from the stresses of life and enjoy doing something you like to do. It is also a chance to discover new skills, become a more experienced sewer, and take time out to complete your unfinished projects. This is a “girl’s night out” you won’t want to miss. If you don’t want to do the scheduled project, feel free to bring your own unfinished project. We’ll help you get it done. We meet Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Class fee is $10 per evening. Supplies are not included, but dinner is!
“Elm Creek” Block of the Month with Redwork Embroidery
The fourth Wednesday of each month we will work on a sampler quilt using twelve patterns from the Elm Creek quilt series. We are really excited to introduce the Elm Creek Quilts to our customers. The series started with a novel called “The Quilter’s Apprentice” and has grown to 16 novels, several quilt pattern books, a recipe book, and a fabric line. We will also have book reviews of some of the books as we do the classes. We would love to have you join us for this fun project. The first book we will review will be “The Quilter’s Apprentice,” and the author is Jennifer Chiaverini. The quilt pattern book is $28.95 (minus 20% discount). You will also need to build your own redwork embroidery pack to embroider the inside of the quilt blocks. (The pack is $55 if you want the designs.)

Virtual Clubs Overview In Provo & St. George
In 2009, Bernina began offering virtual clubs to help us offer our customers the latest information on Bernina machines, accessories, software, and more. We as dealers have always been fortunate to be able to attend trainings and receive extensive knowledge from nationally recognized Bernina educators. This has always helped us to learn and grow our business. Now, with our three virtual clubs (Virtual Bernina Club, All About M.E. and Software Sampler) we are able to let our customers share in the education we receive from these national educators. We will provide our customers who have recently bought new Bernina machines from us a free three month membership to one of our virtual clubs. Just ask and we will sign you up for a 2011 club membership. We have a great time and work on some really fun projects. There is great power in that program and we want to take the concerns and fear out of it so that you will feel comfortable using it. We don’t need to take hours to complete a cross stitch project when it can be done with our embroidery machines.

The small flowers are cut from behind the large flowers, and you’ll even use the leftovers from the flower backs for the flower centers. Sew Whatever – St. George
Come have fun at SewWhatEver! This club offers you a night out where you can get away from the stresses of life and enjoy doing something you like to do. It is also a chance to discover new skills, become a more experienced sewer, and take time to complete your unfinished projects. This is a “girl’s night out” you won’t want to miss. If you don’t want to do the scheduled project, feel free to bring your own unfinished project. We’ll help you get it done. We meet on the second and fourth Thursday each month from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
