Mayor’s Proclamation “Environmental Systems Operators Week” October 22-28, 2017 Whereas,
environmental systems operators throughout the Palmetto State play a vital role in protecting our water, soil and air resources for future generations by promoting research and education, diseeminating technical information, increasing public awareness, and advocating for environmentally-friendly public policy; and
Whereas,
these dedicated professionals contribute to the continued growth and development of our state, and more specifially to the Town of Chapin and surrounding areas, by using their integrated knowledge of engineering and the physical sciences to solve contemporary environmental problems; and
Whereas,
the 2017 observance of Environmental Systems Operators Week calls attention to the many contributions made by Environamental Systems Operators to our quality of life while raising awareness of the importance of protecting and conserving our natural resources.
Whereas,
Henry McMaster, Governor of South Carolina has proclaimed the week of October 22-28, 2017 as ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS OPERATORS WEEK in the state of South Carolina.
Now, Therefore, I, Skip Wilson, Mayor of the Town of Chapin, also do hereby proclaim October 22-28, 2017, as ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS OPERATORS WEEK in the Town of Chapin and encourage all Chapinites to recognize Environmental Systems Operators for their commitment to preserving and enhancing our natural environment. Given under my signature and the seal of the Town of Chapin, South Carolina, this 17th day of October, 2017.
