September 2013 for the first time NORTHERN SEAS FILM FORUM was opened as a part of the St. Petersburg International Film Festival. The Forum is to become an annual meeting hub for film industry professionals from around the world. NORTHERN SEAS FILM FORUM is an effective platform for the development and promotion of new films and film projects, as well as film studios, production and distribution companies from Russia, the CIS countries and European Union.

MAIN EVENT CO-PRODUCTION MARKET Project co-production market includes a short pitching session (no more than 5 minutes per project) and one-on-one meetings. REQUIREMENTS 1. Full-length feature films in development. 2. Production in the Northern territories (Northern Europe, the European North of Russia and the northern territories of the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland).The participation of creative team members from the region will be also welcomed. 3. Prospective for international distribution. 4. Director and producer on board. 5. Treatment or script in English. 6. At least 10% of the secured financing for the project.

MAIN EVENTS NORTHERN MEETINGS Series of round tables, master-classes and presentations will be focused on production, financing and distribution of films in countries and regions located in the North of Europe (Northern Europe, the European North of Russia, as well as the northern regions of the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Poland).
MAIN EVENTS BEST - PRODUCERS’ WORKSHOP BALTIC BRIDGE EAST BY WEST A special program will be hold for representatives from CIS countries, the Baltic States and Georgia. The program will be based on producers training program, which will unite producers from Europe, CIS countries, Baltic States and Georgia. To participate in training program will be selected 5 highly qualified producers from the CIS countries and Georgia and 5 producers from the European Union. The Baltic Bridge East by West (B’EST) will consist of two workshops, which take place on September in St. Petersburg within the framework of St. Petersburg International Film Festival and November in Tallinn, within the framework of the Baltic Event.
