Sales Development Representative (Inside Sales) Rolling Meadows, IL
Department Description: Sales Development / Inside Sales Team is primarily tasked with creating New Small Project Opportunities to accelerate revenue growth. The team will work closely with internal and external partners to convert marketing demand generation into sales opportunities and Cambium customers.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations 1.
Sales/New Business Generation: a. Find and work with potential customers to uncover how Cambium can solve their business problems, then manage to closure. b. Develop leads into prospects, into opportunities, into customer orders c. Develop in field Activities/Meetings /Roadshow to support new business creation 2. Sales: a. Answer and Qualify inbound sales lead calls and inbound electronic sales leads then action based on specific criteria b. Conduct outbound/cold call engagements and develop leads/prospects and close personally or in conjunction with the sales team c. Develop relationships with Channel Partner Inside & Outside Sales teams and communicate effectively to handoff qualified leads d. Follow-up with prospects who respond to marketing programs and campaigns e. Follow-up on leads from lists and other resources / Follow-up on support / extended warranty renewal opportunities and other renewals f. Follow-up on inquiries related to products, services, partner program, etc., and other issues, as necessary leverage internal relationships to hand-off as required 3. Analyze / Build strength: a. Candidate MUST be prepared to support activities to track and analyze their own and the companies effectiveness in creating new business b. Monitor success rates to guide demand generation to growth areas c. Candidate MUST Document, track, monitor and update all leads and activities in CRM tool, as required 4. Sales/Technical: a. Acquire at least a basic knowledge of our full range of Cambium products and services, the candidate must be able to create quotes to end customers to be executed by channel partners. Seek technical support initially but eventually gain the ability to work independently. b. Convey product knowledge to potential clients, adhering to company messaging and positioning.
Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done Previous Inside Sales experience a plus Experience in dealing with both Direct and Indirect external customers Commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace Ability to analyze data a background or experience in Forecasting and / or Business Analysis a plus Previous experience with CRM and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite / Salesforce.com a plus) Excellent computer skills, specific proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required Previous Technology experience a plus Self-Starter with the potential to lead Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Industrial Distribution / Engineering acceptable (2+ yrs. experience a plus)
