Saturn Transits Scorpio 2014: the good, bad, and downright ugly!
Do I need to worry about this transit? The good news is that generally most of us will feel some relief, at least at the beginning of this transit (November 2, 2014) - if not at the end. The intense Saturn Rahu conjunction in Libra (sign 7) that has been plaguing so many peoples' lives - affecting legal and personal relationships, politics, business matters, and the marketplace will finally be over.

Also, Jupiter goes into exaltation this year, 2014, and will be aspecting Saturn's transit to Scorpio - bringing relief and blessings for about a year -2014 - 2015 - wonderful news! That being said, it is good to remember that this is Scorpio that Saturn is transiting starting November 2, 2014. Never an easy sign, Scorpio represents the 8th house (and sign) of upheaval, change and transformation, death-like experiences, inheritances, the sexual organs, the deep bowels, and all that is hidden, ancient, secretive, sexual, and occult in life. All that we've tucked away under the rock of our lives can need attention now. If there's something dark and uncomfortable there, it's good to bring it into the light and heal the wound, the hurt, or the misunderstanding. We have a great chance with this transit to transform our ignorance or avoidance into a positive life supporting energy because the 8th house and sign also represent life, the kundalini energy, and shedding of the old skin for renewal. Saturn makes us work! When Saturn gets involved, it makes us work on things and can bring delays, pressures, contraction, slowness, intensity, and at its worst - suffering or misery to the areas of life (mentioned above) if we don't attend to them. Suppressing or ignoring will not work with Saturn. He's the great task master of the cosmic sky! He'll continue to bring everything forward over and over again, for as long as it takes for you to finally address the problem and has infinite patience to do so. Remember that Saturn and Mars are the two bullies of the cosmic sky and when they combine in any way (they are blending their energies by Saturn's transit over Scorpio, a Martian sign) - their more aggressive or negative tendencies can be amplified. Some anger or resentments can come up as we deal with these old or difficult issues. Jupiter will help ease this transit for the first year, from June 2014 - 2015. After that, Saturn's taskmaster or controlling ways will begin to be unleashed a little, and the less positive (feeling) tendencies can zoom forward. What do Saturn and Mars represent when they are blended (by conjunction or transit) in a Vedic Chart? What this means astrologically is that Saturn and Mars are enemies by nature, and often don't work well together when they are blended (as in combined together by planetary conjunction or aspect) or one of them visits a sign or house owned by the other by transit. Saturn's transit over Scorpio can make us feel as though our deep ambitions are blocked and not moving ahead as quickly as we like. This transit can also draw out a vicious side of people that is most unexpected or hurtful. Tricky times with the Gandanta Knot of Scorpio to Sagittarius and back again... There can be some very tricky times as Saturn goes over the gandanta knot at the tail end of Scorpio (29 degrees 20' - 30 degrees Scorpio) to the beginning of Sagittarius (0 degrees to 45' Sagittarius). Gandanta knots occur at the end of a water sign and the beginning of a fire sign: moving from water to fire (or vs.) is not comfortable for the psyche. A gandanta knot is referred to as a spiritual knot that is difficult to release: the more we pull on it, the tighter it gets. It is said that these kinds of spiritual knots can only be released with deepened awareness of the issue involved and experiences of transcending (to go beyond).
