through 2014. It is really an honor. First a few words about me. I received my Ph.D in Biostatistics from UCLA in 2000. Since then my professional career has been all in industry. After spending a few years in New Jersey working for the big Pharmaceutical company Shering-Plough, I moved back to LA (yes, it was because of the weather) and joined the biotech company Amgen. Currently I’m the
As president, my primary goal is to increase the number of members and to build a better communication bridge to our membership. I always believe an increased membership that covers broader areas of statistical applications (for instance, biotech and finance) provides a much better networking opportunity, hence can significantly benefit all the SCASA members.
