School Highlights Bedford Elementary: •

Bedford Elementary students and staff raised over $2700 for the Korean War Monument.



On Wednesday, November 10th, the BEST assembly paid a special tribute to Korean War Veterans. We had 19 veterans attend the assembly. A special thank you to the BEST Committee for organizing the assembly, especially Elyse Murphy!

Bedford Middle: •





Our Bison Awards for the 1st nine weeks were drawn. To be eligible you must have been caught doing a random act of kindness. The following students won $25.00 gift cards to Wal-Mart: 8th Grade-Ryan Byerley, 7th Grade-Katie Bridges, 6th Grade-Andrea Harkins. There were 74 students who were eligible for the drawing. The SADD club members participated in the Bedford Halloween Parade. The club was awarded 2nd place in the mummers division. McDonald’s recently awarded a $500.00 grant to the Physical Education Department. The grant will go toward improving the technology that the Physical Education

teachers use. Mrs. Shoemaker and Mr. Beidle are shown accepting the McDonalds grant! BMS had Spirit Week October 26-30. There was mismatch day, western day, jersey day, crazy sock day, and blue and white day. Students as well as faculty joined in on the fun! November 8th was the date for the annual 8th grade field trip to Washington, DC. 148 students attended.
