Biblical Theology in the Life of the Church

OUR PURPOSE One of the core values of Calvary Baptist Church is “Living God’s Word.” We value the Word, and we recognize the importance of living it out in our lives day to day. One of the tools that we use to support our commitment to living God’s Word is our Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) ministry. The goal of the ABF ministry is to encourage genuine spiritual growth in knowledge, understanding, and practical life application of the truths of the Bible. It is our desire for each of our members to participate in this ministry because growth in knowledge and obedience to the Word is an essential part of what it means to be a follower of Christ. We need to Learn the Word, and we need to Live the Word.

OUR CLASSES The ABF classes are primarily organized around stage of life during the Summer, Fall, and Winter semesters, and each class studies the same topic. During the Spring semester, classes are organized by topic, and participants have the opportunity to choose the particular class that would best encourage their growth in Christ. There are currently seven Adult Bible Fellowship classes: • Ambassadors • Berean • College and Twenties • Common Ground • Encouragers • LifeMates • Sojourners
