Senior Companions

Lord, Teach Us To Pray—Sunday, May 15th, at 10:30 am. The Lord’s Prayer as you have never experienced it before held during our regular worship service.

Good Sam is in need of Senior Companions, which is an in-home service to older persons and other adults in need.

Secret Church—Friday, April 29th. There is still room for you to sign up in the Fellowship Hall! Feeding South Dakota—Saturday, April 30th. The group that was scheduled to pack boxes had to cancel. If you would like to help, please let Renata Sutton know at 605-323-8363. Fourth Sunday Fellowship Dinner—TODAY at noon. Mowing Sign Up in Fellowship Hall Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church teachers are desperately needed. Sign-up in the Fellowship Hall. Life Group Leadership Meeting—Sundays at 6:30 pm. Wednesday Night Encounter—Wednesday at 6:30 pm.

You are eligible for this paid position if you:  Are age 55 or older  Meet an income guideline  Are able to serve 15 to 40 hours per week Senior Companion benefits:  Paid an hourly, tax-free stipend (will not reduce any government assistance received and is not taxable)  Mileage reimbursement or transportation provided  Paid training  Paid time off  Paid holidays  Accident insurance while on assignment  Friendship with other senior companions  Satisfaction in service Activities might include:  Conversation and listening  Assisting with reading, writing letters or phone calls  Helping with shopping and errands  Planning, preparing or sharing meals  Sharing hobbies, handwork, recreation and social events  Assist with light housekeeping such as making bed, doing dishes, dusting and sweeping  Medication reminders  Accompanying to the doctor or nurse  Being present for exercise, walks and bathing Interested?
