Tickets are $10 each. Please see Jeff Neal or Denton Hardie for tickets. Deadline to return filled Backpacks is October 1! All backpacks purchased from the WMU for the Appalachian project are due no later than October 1. Filled backpacks can be placed in the designated box in the Atrium. Truth Be Told Paint Party, Monday, October 2nd, 6:00pm Join the excitement of “self-proclaimed non-artists” creating beautiful masterpieces with God’s Truth on each one! Cost is $40 (all materials provided) Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little paint on & bring a snack to share. Contact Kathy Mims if you need child care. Light Up The Night, October 29th, 5:00pm It’s that time of year again! Our annual Light Up The Night event is being planned. We need trunks and activities for the children. Boxes will be out soon for candy as well. Rhodes My Heartfelt Thanks, I would like to thank the appropriate people for the care of my family during the approaching hurricane Irma last week. We took refuge at our church from Sunday afternoon through Monday evening. Pastor Butch and practically the entire staff were with us around the clock to make sure all our needs were met, including food and special needs. Like so much of Albany, the church experienced a power failure early Monday morning. I tried to sleep through it all, but at some point, I heard a noise behind me. I turned and looked. It was Pastor Butch plugging my powerless oxygen concentrator into a generator. Again, my thanks to a staff that cares so much about it’s people. Alan & Carole Stone Thank you so much for the storm shelter. My friend is on oxygen and she was afraid of the storm and being alone. You took her in and were so nice to her. She was so appreciative of everyone’s kindness. Thank you!
