Dear Propane Customer, I hope this little note finds you enjoying a nice summer. The past winter was very cold and propane supplies were very tight. Unfortunately, I expect the same or worse for the 2014 -2015 winter season. I’m asking that you help Service and Supply Cooperative out by filling your tanks early – by August 2014. Doing this lets us receive more loads in to our storage tanks prior to the winter months. If we are able to do this, it will hopefully help alleviate the strain of potential shortages and price spikes so that we are able to keep your homes and farms warm this winter. I have enclosed your propane contract for the upcoming winter. These prices are typically cheaper and you are able to lock in this rate for a specified amount of propane. Though the contracts do not start until September, if you let us fill your tank by August 2014, we will honor the price on your signed and paid contract. Service & Supply Coop will be offering you the opportunity to contract propane to lock in your price per gallon for the winter months.
