ASSEMBLY – REQUIREMENTS: 100 pounds of sand 2 Wrenches (provided) Phillips screwdriver Rectangular backboard with specified requirements STEP 1–ATTACHING THE ARM ASSEMBLIES Lower your backboard to the ground or a safe height to attach the Rapid Fire arms. You can get on a ladder or step stool if your backboard stays upright, or you can pull it all the way to the ground. For permanent, non-height-adjusting backboards, you will need a ladder to reach the top corners. NOTE: We recommended using the Rapid Fire with an adjustable height backboard. NOTE: Make sure you follow the directions on your basketball system or backboard accordingly when lowering the backboard to attach the Rapid Fire. Once your system is lowered, loosen the handles on the Arm Assembly brackets (A and B) by turning counter-clockwise to fit over the frame of your backboard. Place the arm assembly over the corresponding top corner of the backboard with the flat portion of the arm assembly in front and the handles on the tightening pad toward the back. Position the tightening pad on the inside of the frame and tighten. If needed, use a wrench to firmly secure. CAUTION: If your backboard does not have a frame that the brackets can fit over, make sure to secure the tightening pads so they will not slip off of the backboard, i.e. if you have a molded backboard, wedge the padded brackets so they are secure. STEP 2–ATTACHING THE NET Move the arms parallel to the backboard so you can easily attach the Net (F) to them. Unroll your net and find the four red tabs, indicating the top of the net. Take the furthest red tab on the right and start looping the net onto the arm (the net will loop on the same way a basketball net loops onto the rim). The last loop at the bend should have the second red tab. Continue to loop the side of the net down the arm. Repeat on the left arm making sure that the net is behind the backboard as it is being attached. Return your basketball system to standing position.

NOTE: If the net sags under the middle of the backboard and leaves a hole for balls to go through, for instance, on smaller backboards, tie together the two pieces of nylon rope connected to the net to take up the slack around the back of your backboard.

STEP 3–ASSEMBLING THE BASES A. Slide the Base Top (D.) onto the Base Pole (C.) Once on, slide one Eye Bolt (H) through the hole at the top of the base pole. Slide one nut onto the same bolt, tighten the nut with your fingers and then secure with a Wrench (I.), repeat with the set-up on the second base. B. Place the pole into the groove in the center of the Base Bottom (E). Line up the white guideline on the top base with the white guideline on the bottom base. Place the 6 Bolts (G.) into the holes on the top of the base and through the hole on the bottom base (there are 7 holes but one is too small for the bolt). Slide one washer onto a bolt and then slide one nut onto the same bolt, tighten the nut with your fingers and then secure with two wrenches. Repeat on the other 5 bolts. Repeat with the set-up on the second base. C. Once both bases have been assembled, open the sand cap on the top of the base and fill with sand. Each base holds up to 50 lbs of sand. Close the sand caps. To move the bases, grab the base pole and slide them into position.

USAGE – This product is not intended for use with the following types of shots: lay-ups, dunks and alley-oops. FREE THROW SET-UP To adjust the angle of the arm assemblies grab the net as high as you can reach and move the net so the arms create 45˚ angles as pictured. Position each base just outside of the free throw lane lines. Clip the grommet on the corners of the net to each of the base poles. The bases need to be far enough away from each other that there is some tension in the net so the ball returns easily to the shooter.

NOTE: If the height of your rim is less then 10 feet you may have to widen the bases and clip the net on the second, third or fourth grommet.

NOTE: If you are using the second, third or fourth grommet, clip all the previous grommets onto the base pole, i.e. using the third grommet, clip the first, second and third grommet onto the base pole. BASELINE JUMP SHOT SET-UP Adjust the angle of the arms as pictured. Make sure that you do not over angle the arm closest to the rim. If you get too close to the rim, the net will interfere with the baskets. Position each base as pictured. Clip the grommet on the corner of the net to the base at the free throw line. Clip the second or third grommet on the net to the base at the baseline. Flip the set-up if you are shooting from the right baseline. PERIMETER SHOT SET-UP Adjust the angle of the arms as pictured. Position each base on either side of the free throw lane lines. Clip the net to the base pole on the first grommet. Flip the set-up if you are shooting from the left side. NOTE: For closer shooting at these angles, simply move the bases toward the basket and clip the net on all the grommets and widen the bases. BACKDROP OPTION The Rapid Fire can be used as a backdrop to keep the ball from going behind the basket when shooting, and you don’t want your shots to be returned to you. Adjust the angle of the arms as pictured. Position each base on either side of the backboard on the baseline. Clip all the grommets onto each base pole. CAUTION: Only use the Rapid Fire as a backdrop if you are shooting. Do not use if you are shooting lay-ups or playing a game as you could become entangled in the net.

PLAY AND STORAGE – When your Rapid Fire is not in use, unclip the net from the bases. Velcro the mesh storage pouch to your basketball pole and stuff the net into the pouch. Slide the bases away from the court and move the arms to the back of your backboard.
