Supplies Needed • 1 Fabric Palette® Burlap (18" x 21") - Avocado • 1 Fabric Palette® Fat Quarter (18" x 21") coordinating pattern • 10" Wooden embroidery hoop • 1 pkg. Bright blue ric rack (3 ft) • 1 pkg. Iron-on letters • 1 - 9" x 12" piece of white felt (stabilizer) • Craft glue • Coordinating thread • Basic sewing supplies • Ruler • Marker that will show on burlap • Scissors • Sewing machine • Iron and pressing surface

Keep your sewing and creative supplies handy with this decorative pocket hoop. Craft up a bunch for gift giving!
Before you begin Read all instructions before beginning project. Do not pre-wash fabrics. Press all fabrics well to remove folds.

Constructing 1. Fold pocket square in half as shown with wrong sides together to make a 7" x 13" piece; press. Turn down folded edge 1" and press. fold fold down 1"

2. Cut a 13" length of Ric Rack. Place under the fold as shown and topstitch next to fold catching Ric Rack in the seam. Insert Ric Rack

3. Place felt stabilizer on work surface and center burlap square on top. Place pocket aligned even at the bottom and sides; pin in place. Center inner hoop over square and lightly trace around outside edge with marker to create placement line. Use ruler to mark vertical stitching lines by finding the center and marking 1 ½" to each side or stitch lines as desired. Stitch vertical lines as shown beginning and ending with a backstitch. Place fusible letters within drawn line and fuse according to manufacturer’s directions.

4. Place the inner hoop on flat surface and center the completed pocket square on top of the hoop. Push outer hoop over the inner hoop with screw centered at the top. Pull the edges of the pocket/burlap so that the pocket and grain of the burlap are straight and taut within the hoop; tighten the screw.
Finishing 5. Trim around the outer edges of the burlap circle and pocket ¾" from the outside edge of the hoop. Glue the trimmed fabric layers together first then glue the edges neatly to the inside of hoop. 6. Fill pockets with desired creative tools and hang near your work space for easy access!
Finished Care Instructions Dust gently as needed. Spot clean with cool water.
