Sewing Club Supply List Wednesday February 22, 2017, 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, or 6pm-8pm $ 150.00 per year or $20.00 per meeting Charming Chicks and Zipper Eggs Part I – Zipper Egg Supplies Needed Charming Chicks and Zipper Egg Pattern (CTH#10317) 1 Fat Quarter Material for Outside of Egg 1 Fat Quarter for inside of egg 10” x 18”piece of single sided fusible stabilizer – Peltex (CTH#710) or fusible fleece (CTH#987) 14 inch zipper to match outside egg material (CTH#1490) Other Supplies Thread to match fabric (CTH#1161) Seam ripper Template plastic (CTH# 882670051)* Scissors – large and small Pins Marking tool – Frixon pen (CTH#612) Sewing Machine in top working order New needle for machine, universal 80/12 (CTH# 402113) or for batiks Microtex 70/10 (CTH# 890761) ¼” foot for your machine Zipper foot for your machine Optional but nice to have: travel iron and small ironing pad 505 adhesive spray (CTH # 200342) Milliners Size 10 hand sewing needle Pre Class Work Please familiarize yourself with the instructions before class. Cut out all paper pattern pieces. Mount pieces of pattern onto template plastic by spraying 505 on printed side of pattern pieces and carefully sticking them onto template plastic (*before you start sticking them make sure you arrange them so all the pieces fit, you will use the entire piece of template plastic!) Cut out all pattern pieces again (Do this so your pattern pieces will be perfect time and time again!) For this first part of the class you only need to use the egg pieces! ***Cut out any pieces you will need out of material chosen for the egg!! – pay strict attention to the grainline marks on the pattern!! Believe me if you do not have your pieces ready to go you will not finish your egg!!!***Trace pattern onto material using marking tool!! Make sure to mark your pieces so you know what is what!!!
