This project can be done as the designer has instructed as a "quilt as you go" project or my favorite way is to piece the project together and then quilt after attaching the applique pieces. Class Fee: $ 45.00 Ba-Da-Bing Ba-Da-Boom, It's a Basket - Feb 21, 2017, Fri 6-9 Fun, fast, and easy! You get to decide what size you want your basket to be is it square or rectangle, tall or short. A great way to organize sewing tools during class, untie the corners and it's flat for transporting back home! These baskets will make great gifts for everyone on your list. Class Fee: $ 35.00 Journal Quilts - Feb 23, May 30, Apr 27, May 25, 2017, Thur 10-1 The Journal Quilt Project was started back in 2004 as a national challenge for quilters to form groups and create artworks in an 8 1/2″ x 11″ format to explore new techniques. Group members were to challenge themselves to try something new and then keep a journal about their projects. A display of many of these quilts was part of the International Quilt Festival in Houston every year. Class Fee: $ 25.00 Dragon Bones - Mar 03, 2017, Fri 11-4 This project lends itself to gifts for the men in your life with the straight lines buy can also be given a feminine touch with the choice of fabric. I chose to add borders to my sample - the choice is yours! The techniques for this project are very simple and although there is a lot of sewing, it's all straight lines. I think this design would work very well as a bed runner, table runner, and/or wall hanging as well as a quilt. The hexagons are appliqued to the background and in class we will explore several different methods to create the appliques and you can choose your favorite. This is an easy project to make larger or smaller as you desire. Class Fee: $ 45.00 Paper Piecing Primer - Apr 04, 2017, Tue 6-9 Easily master sharp points, smooth curves, and precise piecing with my favorite technique! This will be a technique class on learning how to do paper piecing. If you’ve tried it before and weren’t sure you really “got” it this is perfect for you. We’ll also be stitching curves so you’ll actually practice two different techniques with this class. Cost: $ 35.00 Continuous Binding Technique - Apr 12, 2017, Wed 10-1 or 6-9 This is a technique class where you’ll practice creating the binding strips for doing a double fold continuous binding for a quilt, wall hanging, or table runner.
