Sewing Instructions 1. Place (1) 5 ⅞” Fabric C square on top of (1) 5 ⅞” Fabric B square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two CB units (Fig. 3). Trim CB units to measure 5 ½” square. Repeat to make (8) CB units total.

5. Follow Figure 6 and sew (1) 3” Fabric H square, (1) 3” Fabric C square, (1) 3” Fabric I square and (1) 3” Fabric B square together to make (1) HCIB square. Repeat to make (6) HCIB squares total but change the placement of the squares as desired. 6. Repeat Step 5 using (6) 3” Fabric J square, (6) 3” Fabric H square, (6) 3” Fabric F square and (6) 3” Fabric L square to make (6) JHFL squares (Fig. 7). 7. Sew (1) HCIB square, (1) 5 ½” Fabric E square, (1) JHFL square and (1) 5 ½” Fabric D square together to make one pieced block (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (6) pieced blocks total.
10. Repeat Step 9 to sew (1) 3” x 54” Fabric M strip to the top and to the bottom of the center block, making sure to stop and start 1/4" away from each end of the center block. To miter each corner, fold the center block on a diagonal, wrong side together. This should line up the strips from Fig. 9 adjacent sides (Fig. 9). 11. Starting at the sewn seam (represented by the arrow in Figure 9), draw a 45-degree line to the edge of the fabric. Sew on the drawn line. Trim the excess fabric leaving a ¼” seam. Repeat this step with the remaining corners to make the quilt top. Q F u th ol ilt d e T D ed op ia o go n na l
