Right Courses Right Place • It is vital that students select the right course to succeed at Sixth Form. • Students on the wrong courses will under achieve and/or be on the wrong Progression Path for career choices

Sixth Form Dress Code • Sixth Form blazer badges are available from the uniform shop on Lancaster Road and from the Sixth Form Office • Ties are also available from the uniform shop on Lancaster Road and from the Sixth Form Office

Friday mornings at EGS Sixth Form Every Friday morning students in Year 12 timetabled for: • 1 hour recreational PE • 1 hour of Progression • 1 hour of independent study

Supporting students through sixth form and preparing students for beyond EGS Sixth Form

Tailored to suit the year group but this year it has included: Guest Speakers Skills London visit Emirates Higher Education Fair NHS mental well being workshops NHS Sex and Drug awareness workshops 1 to 1 mentor and career/University guidance Study skills and revision workshops UCAS/GAP year/Career workshops ULAS and SACU registration and research CV and applications 14

Admissions • Full admissions criteria is included in the application form and available on line • Students must meet entry requirements for conditional places to be confirmed on GCSE results day.

Application process: KEY DATES • Conditional offers made in April. • All students with conditional offers will be invited to a transition day post summer exams. • 23rd August: GCSE Results Day courses confirmed and student enrol. Doors open at 10am! • Not here on results day. Make sure you inform us – details will follow. 16

Year 12 • Induction Day • Full timetable starts September 5th 2018 • Course change permitted Week 4 • January 2019 Mock exams • March Pre Public Exams • June PEE (Progress Entry Exams) in sports hall: Year 13 entry exam • July Progression Week 2019 • Year 12 students start Year 13 • Progression to Year 13….not guaranteed

• Oxbridge/Med application deadline is 15th October 2019 • Internal Russell Group deadline 1st November 2019 • Internal University deadline is 1st December 2019 • Mocks: December 2019 • From January students supported with apprenticeship and non-uni routes. • PPE (Pre Public Exams) March 2020 • Summer Exams • August 2020 – A level results from 7.30am. 17
