Small classes, big solutions Executive Summary CrossFit Mystic had quickly outgrown RhinoFit, and was looking for a more comprehensive solution to meet the demands of its growing business. About CrossFit Mystic CrossFit Mystic is a boutique-style CrossFit gym located in Mystic, Connecticut. They are in their second year of business and train 115 active members. CrossFit Mystic is focused on providing a valuable, encouraging and intimate experience for all of their athletes, which they achieve by instituting a 12-person cap for each class. Challenges When CrossFit Mystic was just starting out, Banks didn’t have much familiarity with gym management software, nor did he have a defined set of requirements. With fewer than 50 members at the time, a less expensive software system like RhinoFit was adequate. However, as he gained a larger membership and received more feedback, Banks needed an all-in-one system with features RhinoFit simply didn’t have. Their team quickly realized that Wodify could solve the software challenges they were facing with RhinoFit, while also helping them move away from the “garage gym” atmosphere they were promoting at the time. Banks said, “The Wodify TVs add a sleeker look to our gym. CrossFit Mystic attracts a ‘well-off’ demographic, so I think the expectation is that we have a cleaner, more upscale look.”

Results With Wodify, CrossFit Mystic now has all of the necessary information about members and financials at their fingertips. It also enjoys the ability to customize the software to meet their specific needs. When asked what feature is most valuable to him, Banks answered, “The ability to cap and reserve classes. We want to keep our classes small and keep the coach-to-athlete ratio down. We’ve gotten a lot of good use out of that feature.” To that end, CrossFit Mystic is now able to harness Wodify’s powerful attendance reports to follow up with athletes and make sure they are showing up to the classes they’ve reserved.
