DRIVERS • Allow drivers to park without the need for coins or cards . • Provide drivers with the ability to search for and map available parking spots . • Drivers are notified when there time is about up and offers them the option to add time without physically being at the meter.

Parking Services • Minimize the hardware needed by utilizing user phones for majority of services. • Inexpensive parking meter hardware . • Existing meters can be easily retrofitted without losing the coin payment functionality • Provide parking services with the detailed status of every meter in the network (including Google Maps mashups ). • Reduce parking services cost by decreasing the need to monitor meters .

Parking Monitoring • Provide parking monitoring for the parking patrol using a Google Maps mashup with markers showing the status for each parking spot (occupied/violation/open) • Allows drivers to find the closest open parking spot (using Google Maps mashup with markers or a navigator)
