• Use pods whole when young • ‘Shell’ peas from mature pods Plant out
Harvest
SOWING AND GROWING Sow thinly direct into warm soil prepared by digging and raking at a depth of 50mm (2") in flat drills 15cm (6") wide in two rows with seed approx. 5cm (2") apart (Germination 7-10 days). Allow 120cm (4') between further rows. Plants need to be well supported. Grows best in a sunny position in well cultivated soil containing plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Pods fine used whole when flat or rounded but as pods mature it is best to shell peas. Sowing ➞ Cropping – 12-16 weeks.
HEALTHY EATING Good source of Vitamins A, B1 and C plus Potassium and fibre. Quality Control: This seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination. Prior to use, store in a dry cool place.
