SNOW/ICE CANCELLATIONS If games must be called due to inclement weather, the WNSL staff will make every attempt to get the word out to everyone as quickly as possible. This includes placing a notice on the front page & basketball page of the league website, a Twitter & Facebook update (@WNSLonline facebook.com/WNSLonline), a message on the league phone number, communication with Channel 4 weather alerts and an e-mail to all participants. If there is no message or notice on cancellations, games will be played as scheduled. Please note that games “will not be slid back” but there may be a situation that games may begin at a certain time such as “All games before 12 noon are cancelled and games beginning at 12 noon or later will go as scheduled.” If a game is cancelled due to snow/ice, the WNSL’s policy states that no games will be rescheduled by the WNSL. However, if the coaches communicate with one another and reschedule the game themselves, the league will provide referees for the game. If there is a cost for gym space the WNSL will pay for the gym space up to $25 per game. Coaches must reserve gym space for the rescheduled game. Rescheduled games must be accomplished before February 28th. Please note: •

If you unsubscribe from any league e-mails, you will not receive these cancellation emails.

The safety of the players/families comes first and foremost. Schools will not allow activities in unsafe conditions and the WNSL will not place anyone in jeopardy either. If there is any doubt on slippery/unsafe conditions, games will be cancelled. One accident or injury due to weather conditions makes a youth basketball game irrelevant.
