SoCon Player of the Week – Jordan Mueller, So., F, UTC SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga forward Jordan Mueller has been named the Southern Conference women’s soccer player of the week for all competition from Aug. 18-20 after scoring two goals and registering an assist in a 3-2 victory over Austin Peay on Friday. UTC went 1-0-1 in its first two games to open the season, playing to a scoreless draw against Eastern Kentucky on Sunday. Mueller, a sophomore from Hendersonville, Ga., played all 90 minutes against Austin Peay and 87 in the tie versus Eastern Kentucky. After a freshman season in which she scored four goals, Mueller found the back of the net on her first two shots in 2017, putting UTC ahead of the Governors 2-1. The Mocs would get an insurance goal in the 58th minute when Mueller found teammate Catherine Meyer in front of the net to make the score 3-1. In the game against Eastern Kentucky, Mueller
