Built in 1896 as the world’s largest electric power generation plant, the Power Station produced enough electricity to run West End Street Railway Company’s streetcars. The century-old property’s structural elements have recently been rescued and restored, transforming it into a blank canvass for community, celebration, and innovation. The Power Station has hosted events such as Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston”, Illuminus, the November Project, HubWeek, the Boston Bacon & Beer Festival, the SoWa Winter Festival, and private events. This stunning property is poised for whatever the 21st Century throws its way.

SoWa is located only few blocks from both I-93 & I-90, and a short walk from Back Bay Station (MBTA Orange Line). Five large parking lots are available to visitors courtesy of our friends at GTI Properties. Free Parking for Shoppers Monday through Saturday, visitors shopping on Thayer Street may park for free up to 90 minutes at 450 Harrison Ave (with validation). Free Parking for Restaurants $10 Weekend Parking From 6 AM Saturday through 10 PM Sunday, parking is only $10 per day Discounted Event Parking
