Godly Play meets at 9:40 - 10:25 am in Room 4. Sunday School is held during the 10:30 service in Room 4. Women’s Bible Study continues this Wednesday from 4:005:00 pm, in Room 5 of the Education Building. All women welcome!

Wednesday Healing Service at 5:30 pm in the Library/Chapel. Find an oasis of God’s love and healing at our mid-week service with Holy Communion, prayers and anointing for healing.

Men’s Group: Thursday, January 26th at Biscuit’s, 4623 E. Elliot Road, (SW corner of 48th & Elliot), at 11:15 am.

to those in your 90s or beyond fully retired are invited to a lunch and special event following the service on Sunday, February 5, 2017, from noon until about 2:30 pm. The Rev. Ann Johnson and Dr. Linda Williams will be introducing the new Second Half of Life Spirituality Ministry sponsored by the Diocese. We’ll explore pre-retirement questions like “Who will I be when I am no longer who I have been for the past 30-40 years?” Are you already retired and eager to remain active and explore opportunities for experiencing your spiritual journey in new ways? Perhaps you are less physically active and interested in developing spiritual friendships and deeper conversation. Are you a caregiver who needs help with the spiritual aspects of end-of-life decisions? Join us to learn more about the variety of resources. Please signup so we know how many will be joining us for lunch. Who Broke All the Rules” by Catharina Ingelman-Sundberg. We will meet Sunday, February 26th, after the 10:30 service at The Paradise Bakery in the Chandler Pavilions. after the 10:30 in room four and will be facilitated by Jana Sundin, Canon of Children's Ministry. We'll finish by about 2:00.

Save the Date!! Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, falls on February 28th this year – so take a moment now to get that date on your calendar. The cost is $5 per person. We will be serving pancakes (gluten free available), bacon, sausage, fruit salad, OJ and coffee!! Hope to see you all there!

Last Year’s Palms and Palm Crosses: We’re once again collecting last year’s palm crosses and palms so that we can burn them and make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. This is such a prayerful and holy time for me, and I hope you feel the love and prayers that go into the process when you receive your ashes on Ash Wednesday (March 1st this year!). Exploring My Journey of Grief: A new group will be forming beginning Saturday, April 22nd, at 1:00 pm in Room 5. We are pleased to be hosting this grief group for any adults experiencing and coping with loss and grieving. The group is open to anyone (i.e., friends, neighbors) who wants to participate, regardless of faith. It is a group for sharing and understanding this difficult time, which is extremely personal, as well as different, for each person. Our group leader is Kate Bertrand, MA, Adult Education, (480) 5446510.

On February 5th we’ll begin a new stage in our journey of well-being by starting our walk to Jerusalem following Jesus’ journey to the cross and our resurrection celebrations of Easter. We’ll be traveling a different route to complete our 7450 miles from Tempe to Jerusalem in just 10 weeks, with lots of interesting stops along the way! Keep your walking shoes & your bicycles ready to go!
