COMBINED PONY CHAMPIONSHIPS ***Class 38 and 40 are single classes run at three separate heights with placings calculated from the scores of all ponies in the class, irrespective of the height jumped. INTRODUCTORY CLASSES ACCUMULATORS There will be a point’s prize for both the Pony and Horse Introductory combinations that gain the most points over the 2 days of competition. The points from the first 3 classes each day contribute to the points total. Combinations must only compete in Introductory classes. Rosettes and rug for the winners.

Riders must be full members of ESNZ, except those competing only in the Introductory Ring who may ride with an ESNZ Introductory membership ($40) or a Casual Membership ($10 per day). All classes run under current ESNZ rules. Back numbers will be issued for the show and are used at the gate but do not have to be worn. Required for horses not currently registered with ESNZ for Jumping/ Show Hunter. May not compete in any series class and the height is restricted to 1:10m max for horses and 1:00m max for ponies. NOTE the rider must be a full member of ESNZ. SHOW LEVY: $25 per horse. CAMPING: $20 per truck, $25 for powered site (limited, allocated on entry) for the duration of the show. YARDS: $10 per horse. Yards will not be allocated. Limited stallion yards. LATE ENTRIES: $20 late fee for horses not entered in the show. SCRATCHING: All fees except the show levy, including yards, refunded in full until 5pm Thursday 20th October. No refunds for scratching or unused yards without a vet or medical certificate after this time but class changes and late entries allowed. PRIZEMONEY: Prizemoney paid out according to jumping rules, 1:7 ratio. Organising committee reserves the right to alter the programme and prize money. GENERAL All competitors must familiarise themselves with the health and safety policy in this schedule and sign the H & S event waiver on entry. No food on grounds. CLASS 25: The first class of the Chooky’s Auto Waikato / BOP 12 years and under Equitation Mini Series. Insist upon establishment of safe methods and best practices Comply with all H&S legislation, regulations and codes of practice We will take responsibility for health and safety procedures, however, ALL PEOPLE ON THIS SITE need to be aware of their responsibilities and comply with the event’s health and safety policy. COMPETITORS will be responsible for themselves at ALL times by observing safe practices and rules/instructions relating to their competition. Every person involved in the Bay of Plenty Show Hunter Spring Championship is encouraged to play a vital and responsible role in maintaining a safe and healthy event through: Being involved in the event health and safety system. Following correct procedures. Safe and proper use of equipment. Wearing protective clothing and equipment as and when required. Reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible. Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported. Help new employees, trainees and visitors to understand the right safety procedures and why they exist. Informing the office immediately of any health and safety concerns. Keeping the event facilities tidy to minimise the risk of any trips and falls.
