Spring Fleur de Lis Luncheon Wednesday, April 12, Brix, noon On April 12th we will celebrate the Fleur de Lis & the beginning of spring. Your board, at the direction of Judi Kannon, has planned a special opportunity to pre-order beautiful Irises for our gardens from Napa Iris. We will also have potted irises as raffle items. So don’t spend that money you saved earlier this month when we had to cancel our luncheon. BUY RAFFLE TICKETS on the 12th. All proceeds will support our philanthropies: Napa NEWS and Reading is Fundamental. Ordering Your Irises The irises are a Rainbow Collections, a variety of colors that will be revealed when they bloom…a chance for both patience and the reward of a beautiful surprise! 48 of these beautiful irises have been made available to the Napa Valley KKG Alumnae at a special price for this fundraiser. Attendees to the Fleur de Lis Luncheon on April 12th will have the first opportunity to place orders, however, if you’re unable to join us for lunch that day, you may submit an order before April 12th. Email/phone orders will be prioritized by date received & filled with inventory not purchased at the luncheon. Make sure you place your order soon or attend the luncheon to make sure you don’t miss out. You can view examples of these beauties at NapaIris.com The fundraiser will stop when all 48 irises have been ordered. **To order a collection of 3 iris bulbs for $25 or one for $10, before our Fleur de Lis luncheon, place your order by emailing or calling Judi Kannon at [email protected] or 707-337-6670. After the luncheon, when your order is confirmed, you’ll be asked to send a check to Napa Valley KKG Alumnae Association for the amount of your purchase. Election of Officers—It’s that time again. Over the years, the best ideas and plans have come from our new officers. We need you! We want your ideas & your Kappa enthusiasm to enhance our association. It’s so worth the minimal time commitment. If you are interested in serving on the Board please let a current board member know. We want and need you. Summary of Officer Duties: President—Manages & submits national reports, directs board as guided by national, members & yearly goals, maintains website, produces newsletters for members, preforms KKG ceremonies, insures association is following guidelines of national & bylaws of NVAA KKG, maintains association records, etc. Vice President— Manages & develops fund raising events, works with membership, assists President, etc. Treasurer—Collects all dues, pays bills, sends payments to Kappa, produce budget (with help of board) & submits to national, balances books, etc. Secretary—Coordinates monthly luncheons with Brix & members, manages correspondence between national, current members & potential members, maintains written record of association, produces annual Membership roster with Membership, etc. Membership—Coordinate and manages Big Sister program with new members. Plans Night Owl events for all members, produces annual Membership roster with Secretary, etc. 1
