WELCOME VISITORS! We extend a special welcome to anyone who has lots of money or to those who have none; whether you’re single, divorced, engaged, married, widowed. We welcome those who sing like angels and those who just make a joyful noise! You’re welcome here if you’re 1 or 100 or anywhere in between. We welcome those who work too hard or don’t work at all. We welcome you if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps and even if you don’t like ‘organized religion’. This is the place to be. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now and even those who think they don’t need prayer. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts, people who think they don’t need Jesus...and you! Whatever your circumstances today, you’re in the right place! We welcome you! Please fill out a visitor card located in the pew rack and place in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit. If you are a first time visitor, stop by our visitors’ table in the Narthex and pick up our gift to you for worshiping with us today. Rev. Thank You! Thank You! Thank you! What an amazing church family we have! Thank you so much for contributing to the various ways that we would like to enhance the Children’s Ministry at St. Paul UMC. We are truly grateful for your prayers, love, gifts, and support. We are looking forward to growing and each of you being a part of our growth. Rev. Angela Johnson ****************

Our Children’s Ministry is looking for volunteers to assist with Children’s CHURCH. This is the time frame following the children’s moment until the end of church. Children’s church is in the children’s department. We are asking for the following commitment: 1. Engage, watch, and teach children about Jesus for about 30 minutes. No worries, curriculum will be provided for you to teach. 2. Commit for one month to lead children’s church. If you miss a Sunday, Rev. Johnson will have you find a replacement. 3. Be in compliance with our Safe Sanctuary guidelines/training.

If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please contact Rev. Angela Johnson at [email protected] with the month and time you can serve.

St. Paul United Methodist Church Transfiguration of the Lord (White) February 26, 2017 8:30 am & 11:00 am Rev. Geoff Grubbs, Senior Minister

Good morning, As you take your seats this morning I am excited to share with you that this is Transfiguration Sunday. We celebrate the revealing of the true nature of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. If we look far into the book of Matthew we see more truth than we can comprehend in one sitting. With that said, I am going to concentrate on those who are in attendance for this amazing event and how their experience transcends time and allows you and I to be present in one of the single most important times in the Bible. Sit back and buckle up. This morning we wrestle with some heavy theology but also some amazing truths for each of us. Unlike Jesus’ command to his disciples it is my prayer that you will leave this place and tell everyone what you learned here today.
