Sixth Form Student Finance Workshop - There will be a short workshop on Student Finance for those Y13 students who have applied for university on Thursday 12th February at 2.45pm. Please could staff excuse students from lessons at 2.45pm? Northumbria University Visit - There will be a Y12 trip to Northumbria University on Thursday 26th February for those students considering applying to university. Students will attend the ‘Preparation for HE Event’ and will be out of school all day. Y13 Apprenticeship Conference - We will be holding an apprenticeship conference periods 1-4 on Wednesday 25th February for those Y13 students not applying for university. Sessions will be delivered by the National Apprenticeship Agency, the Job Centre and Barclays Bank. Students will be given advice on how to find
apprenticeships, complete application forms, what employers are looking for and interview practice. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Y12 Partners Assembly - Newcastle University will be in school on Wednesday 25th February to talk to Y12 students about their reduced entry Partners programme. The assembly will start at 2.45pm so students will need to leave their period 5 enrichment lesson at this time. Sixth Form PiXL 6 Assembly - Following data capture 3 there will be a Sixth Form Assembly on Monday 23rd February in the main hall at 2.45pm. Tues 10 Feb – Design Faculty hosting PGCE interviews for Northumbria Uni, Outstanding Secondary Art & Design programme new intake. Wed 11 Feb - 12.15 – 6pm Skye Grant/Elizabeth Ward/Ellie Greathead representing NCEA at Medical Challenge Day ( Adult supporting SM) Thanks Kind Regards Louise Gatti ***********************************************

Family and Learner Welfare February is LGBT history month, I have resources, lesson plans etc if anyone would like them? I am also asking staff to join me in supporting the #nobystanders campaign, if you would like a poster for your classroom or office please let me know. Finally, I'm going to send a survey monkey questionnaire regarding PSHE and what each of you do to contribute. If staff could take the time to complete this ASAP that would be great. Backing wallpaper Has anyone got a used roll of backing paper for wallpaper they would give to the caretakers before the half term holidays please? Please contact any of the caretakers.
