Standard House, Peekskill, New York The Standard House was built in 1855 as a boarding house and tavern during one of Peekskill’s most prosperous eras. Its restoration has become the touchstone of the renewal of Peekskill’s waterfront and the community’s view of its past and future. The Preservation League of New York State recently awarded a 2001 Annual Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation to Stephen Tilly, Architect as well as to the building’s owners, Richard and Katharina Cerreta, for their work restoring the building. In addition, the project received the 2001 Design Award from the Westchester/Mid-Hudson Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Dates: 1999-2000
