PARENTING SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN DISCUSSION GROUP
Tuesdays, 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. From October 8 – November 26, 2013 Madison Elementary Family Center 515 E. Ashtabula St.
We will introduce the nationally acclaimed Systematic Training For Effective Parenting. This 8-week course provides a practical approach to raising children. Each week the following topics will be discussed in depth: 1. 2. 3. 4.
Understanding yourself and your child. Understanding beliefs and feelings. Encouraging your child and yourself. Developing the courage to be imperfect.
5. Listening and talking to your child. 6. Helping children cooperate. 7. Discipline that makes sense. 8. Choosing your approach.
Jane Stockly M.S. will be the instructor for this class run by Pasadena City College. Jane has worked with families and young children for over thirty years and is the author of, “Better Baby Sleep: A Handbook for Parents.” To apply for classes please visit www.pasadena.edu/cec and Apply on-line.
