This is only a suggested reading list. Your child may be able to read some of these books himself or herself, depending on the ability of the child. You will enjoy reading others with your child. Please feel free to read other books of your choice, as well. We Both Read books allow parents to read one page and the child to read the next page. During the summer, please have your child read 2 fiction and 2 non-fiction books from the Accelerated Reader list. When the children return to school, they will take an Accelerated Reader quiz on the computer on 1 Accelerated Reader book that they read during the summer. Please note that you can go to the St. Ambrose website, click on Accelerated Reader Book finder, and search for Grade 1 for the titles of the Accelerated Reader books. Please use the Summer Reading Log to keep track of the books your child has read this summer.
