New Member We welcomed Caroline Short on profession of faith on June 25th. We’re excited for Caroline’s important decision to follow Christ. Pray for her as she grows in her walk. Caroline & several others are anxiously awaiting baptism when we return to the main Sanctuary. Summer Mission Trips We have 3 summer mission trips coming up in the next month. Ted & Linda Roquemore will be serving on a medical missions team in Guatemala July 15-22nd. I’ll be helping lead Transformation Churches’ Camp on July 21-31st in Ukraine and Terri Hutto will be serving in Belize on August 3-13th! Please be praying for each of these important mission trips. The Roquemore’s, Mrs. Terri and I are excited to go and serve. We each covet your prayers. Cup of Hope Work Day/Ministry need Our Missions Committee is hosting a work day at the Cup of Hope on Saturday, July 8th at 8 am. We need folks to come help move tables/benches, paint, help with ‘leveling the floor’ with a grinder and hauling unneeded items off. If you can paint, use a grinder, have a truck and flat bed trailer or can simply follow directions - we need you. There will also be help needed to install ductless air units. The Cup of Hope Renovations are a part of updating the facility for our some ‘After School tutoring’ this fall. If you’d be interested in helping with tutoring please contact Missions Committee member, Tammy Adams. ‘Watermelon & Wisdom’ - July 16th Our ‘Peaches & Proverbs’ night on June 25th was a good night. We enjoyed delicious peach cobbler and ice cream and heard an inspiring overview of Proverbs by David Baker. ‘Watermelon & Wisdom’ is our next DiscipleLife Fellowship on July 16th at 4:30 pm. We’re eat watermelon and hear a study on ‘The Last Word on the Cross’. Come join us. Revival -August 20-23rd We need Revival! I’m praying for God to work in us first. Revival starts with each of us. Continue to pray for Scott Dawson & Ed Cleveland as they look forward to leading our August 20-23rd Revival. Start now inviting your friends and co-workers. I can’t wait for this exciting week! Cones for Cross walk We’ll have Traffic Cones blocking the Whaley Street entrance during Sunday school & morning worship while we meet in the Fellowship Center. This will allow for a safer passage for those crossing Whaley for worship. Please prepare for this in the Sundays ahead. As you continue to bask in the celebration of our great country, let me express my thanks to our Opp AmVets for providing an honor guard for our Patriotic program Sunday. Thanks also to those who helped with the meal. I love celebrating with FBC Opp. Our adult choir will take a well-deserved break from rehearsal for a week, but our students will be returning to rehearsals at 5 each Sunday afternoon, starting July 23. We’ll start with some of the songs we learned at MFuge.
